Surface Action Groups

Makeup and Command Structure

Surface Action Groups Explained

SAG's are a tool at your disposal as a warfare commander or scenario builder. Like Carrier Strike Groups there is no perfect SAG, any asset in the squadron can be assigned as needed. Now that we have disposed of those that were looking for a definition of a SAG, we can get down to business on how we might use them. Perhaps Ferry a RECON team, Insert a SEAL Team, or extracting personnel. The flight decks on these assets are your bridge to survivability and logistics.

But Carriers are obsolete!

Only the IQ challengedwould make such an argument.  Even if we were flying death gliders we still need a place to land and refuel. Few countries have the resources necessary to even find a Carrier let alone shoot at it.
